Coach Emmanuel

Coach Emmanuel is the founding head coach of Merchandise Football Academy and the architect of everything the club stands for on the pitch. A passionate football educator with over a decade of experience developing young talent across the FCT, he has built a coaching philosophy centred on discipline, technical excellence and the belief that every player carries greatness within them. Since establishing the academy in 2014, he has overseen the development of hundreds of players — many of whom have gone on to represent clubs at the state and national level. His influence extends far beyond tactics: he shapes the character of every player who passes through the academy gates.

Coach David

Coach David joined Merchandise FA in 2017 and has been an indispensable part of the coaching setup ever since. His tactical acumen and ability to communicate complex ideas in simple, actionable terms has transformed the way the academy's older squads approach competition. He specialises in set-piece preparation, defensive organisation and the transition phases of the game — areas that consistently give Merchandise FA an edge over opponents. Away from match days, Coach David is the players' trusted mentor, always available with guidance and encouragement to help young footballers navigate the pressures of competitive sport.

Coach Michael

Coach Michael is the engine behind the physical excellence that sets Merchandise FA players apart. As the academy's Fitness & Conditioning specialist, he designs and implements age-appropriate training programmes for all five squads — from the Little Lions through to the Senior Boys — ensuring every player is in peak condition for competition while minimising injury risk. With a background in sports science and a deep understanding of adolescent athletic development, he balances intensity with recovery, producing athletes who are faster, stronger and more durable than their peers. Coach Michael's mantra is simple: "the harder you train, the luckier you get on match day."

Coach Name

Our fourth coaching staff member focuses on the foundational technical development that every great footballer needs. Working primarily with the younger age groups, they deliver focused individual skill sessions that build first touch, dribbling, passing accuracy and shooting technique. Their warm, encouraging coaching style creates a safe environment where young players feel free to try new things, fail, and grow without fear. Their belief that confidence is the most important skill a young player can develop underpins everything they bring to Merchandise FA.
